Has anyone noticed that when the cooling fan is running, oil leaks sometimes occur? Although this situation doesn't happen often, it... Fan heater There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with it, but it does waste resources—after all, engine oil comes at a cost. To avoid this situation, we need to regularly maintain the cooling fan. So, what exactly are the common signs of oil leakage?
1. If the oil supply to the bearing housing is too high, lubricating oil is supplied from both sides at the top of the bearing housing. The bearing housing is equipped with oil rings, and the flow rate is controlled by an oil supply throttling valve. If the oil supply flow rate is excessively high, the heat dissipation will be affected by the high-speed rotation of the rotor and the rising temperature of the lubricating oil, inevitably causing the maximum allowable oil level to fall below the actual oil level inside the bearing housing, thus leading to oil seal leakage. Moreover, excessive lubricating oil pressure can also cause leakage at the shaft seal.
2. If the seal at the oil pipe route interface is not tight enough, the shaft seal is the most common area for oil leakage in the bearing housing. Such issues can arise if the O-ring and skeleton oil seal of the cooling fan’s shaft seal have been subjected to prolonged wear and aging, or if improper assembly techniques were used during maintenance and repair.
3. Hydraulic cylinder oil leakage can occur if the hydraulic cylinder’s seal is not tight, the clearance between components is too large, or the mating surfaces are not properly sealed.
4. The lubricating oil quality is substandard. Some oils have not been regularly tested as required, leading to excessive particle size that causes wear on rubber seals. Alternatively, the presence of moisture in the lubricating oil can result in corrosion and damage to servo valves, ultimately causing oil leaks.
