As the name suggests, a miniature cooling fan is a small, compact cooling fan designed for use in spaces with limited room. With the advancement of technology, we increasingly demand devices that are not only more convenient but also more portable. Since most electronic products are built using integrated circuits, the higher the integration density of electronic components, the more severe the heat generation problem becomes—while simultaneously driving the need for miniaturization and thinner designs. Consequently, cooling fans have become essential for dissipating heat. Given the slim and compact nature of these products, miniature cooling fans are typically the preferred choice. Due to space constraints indoors, many products requiring cooling fans must opt for thinner fan models—especially in appliances and electronic devices where prolonged use demands that the cooling fan’s noise level remain low. Among cooling fan bearings, Panasonic’s hydraulic bearing stands out as an excellent option: it boasts a long service life and low noise levels, though its price is relatively high. On the other hand, household oil-lubricated bearings and hydraulic roller bearings are also highly regarded—they offer good performance at lower prices. However, over time, as the lubricant gradually depletes, the bearing’s noise level tends to increase and may even affect the shaft’s core. Of course, some leading Chinese cooling fan manufacturers collaborate closely with specialized bearing and shaft producers to achieve even better performance by tailoring their products to specific requirements. In this product, both the frame and the fan blades are typically made from PBT—a material that offers several key advantages: it’s relatively affordable, environmentally friendly, flame-retardant, corrosion-resistant, and provides durable cooling performance, making it highly cost-effective. Advantages and Applications of Oil-Bearing DC Fans

The pivot joint is fixed at the position of the motor stator base, ensuring an appropriate gap between the rotor and the stator. Of course, there must also be a clearance between the shaft core and the bearings to prevent the shaft core from becoming locked and thus unable to function. The stator structure of the motor—hereafter referred to as the "stator"—is designed in such a way that, once power is supplied, an induced magnetic field will be generated between the rotor and the stator. The control circuit then drives the electric fan motor into operation. Therefore, in the conventional fan motor design, as long as the fan rotor, the motor stator, and the drive circuit work together via the pivot joint between the shaft core and the bearings and through magnetic field induction, the motor can operate effectively.
