DC cooling fans are essential heat-dissipation devices for modern industrial machinery. They feature excellent cooling performance, long service life, simple structure, and easy installation.
The DC cooling fan consists primarily of auxiliary components such as the rotor, stator, and fan blades. The control circuit should include numerous semiconductor components. Today, these components are typically integrated into one or more ICs. Many manufacturers specialize in designing and producing various models of motor-control ICs for use by fan circuit suppliers. Although different IC models feature distinct control circuits, their primary purpose is to ensure efficient operation of the coil and to provide effective protection for the fan’s relevant characteristics.
The operating principle of a DC cooling fan is based on the conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy via direct current voltage and electromagnetic induction, which drives the rotation of the blades. Simply put, it’s a cooling device that relies on coils and ICs to continuously switch and drive the blades. DC cooling fans feature cutting-edge design and boast advantages such as high airflow, low noise, long service life, and excellent corrosion resistance.
2. This design employs high-quality bearings and silicon-packaged wiring, coupled with a DC fan equipped with a paint reflector—such as a DC thermal fan. The DC cooling fan itself features two types of sensors: an alarm sensor and a speed sensor. The alarm sensor can generate an alarm signal when the fan speed drops below a preset threshold, while the speed sensor output allows real-time monitoring of the fan’s rotational speed. Clearly, the greater the wind speed, the higher the cooling capacity of the DC cooling fan. This is because air has a fixed heat capacity per unit volume; in other words, a larger volume of air flowing through the system at any given time can carry away more heat. Moreover, the rotational speed output from the DC circuit via steel blades typically takes the form of pulses, with each pulse representing a specific airflow rate. Consequently, the speed signal displayed on the host computer is not simply a multiple of the fan’s actual rotational speed.
The cooling fan has relatively low efficiency and isn't as powerful or aggressive as a ducted exhaust fan. The blow-type fan is gentler and more suitable for everyday use—especially for ordinary office laptops. However, it’s not quite as compact. In terms of usage, you need to pay attention to the cooling fan’s rated power supply: specifically, whether it requires two USB ports. If the rated power supply is too high, your computer’s battery might not be able to handle it, which could actually accelerate battery drain—a situation that’s far from practical. Therefore, it’s important to check whether the fan supports dual-USB power supply, which helps conserve battery power and makes installation simple: just plug it in and out as needed.
