DC cooling fan Fan blade types are generally classified according to the shape of the blades, since the blade shape directly determines the performance characteristics of the fan. Fan blades are typically categorized into fine right angles, coarse angles, and fine angles. It would be somewhat far-fetched to describe turbine fans as a separate type of fan blade.
The slim, right-angle blade is the earliest product, yet it remains timeless to this day. Fans equipped with these DC blades excel only in terms of noise level, air pressure, airflow volume, and service life, making them suitable for low-heat applications.
Thick, curved fan blades offer the best cooling performance because they generate high wind pressure and sufficient airflow, which also help accelerate the rate of heat exchange. However, thicker curved blades tend to produce more noise, exert greater centrifugal forces on the shaft during rotation, and suffer more severe wear, thereby shortening their service life to some extent. These types of fan blades are typically used in high-volume, high-performance fans that require greater airflow.
The curved-blade fan is an improved version of the thick curved-blade fan. It features a greater number of blades, ensuring a sufficient airflow for DC cooling fans. Moreover, thanks to its lightweight blades, high rotational speed, and even rotation, this fan produces relatively low noise levels. However, the biggest drawback of the thin curved blades is their slightly lower air pressure, leaving a slight sense of regret among users.
