DC cooling fan These have been in use for a long time and now require maintenance. Both DC cooling fans and AC cooling fans need regular maintenance to extend their service life and ensure they continue to serve you effectively. Today, our tech expert is sharing some maintenance tips for DC fans—hopefully, these will help you keep your cooling fans in top condition!
1. Depending on the operating environment, the bearings of DC cooling fans should be periodically lubricated or have their grease replaced (the sealed bearings in the motor do not need to be replaced during the motor’s service life). To ensure proper lubrication during operation, the greasing interval for both sealed bearings and motor bearings should be no less than 1,000 hours per lubrication. It is strictly prohibited to fill the inner and outer races of the bearings with lithium-based grease ZL-3 to a level exceeding one-third of the bearing’s capacity.
2. DC cooling fans should be stored in a dry environment to prevent the motor from getting damp. When stored outdoors, appropriate protective measures should be taken. During storage and handling, care should be taken to avoid collisions with the DC fan to prevent damage.
3. It can only operate when the DC cooling fan is fully functional. At the same time, ensure that the power supply capacity is sufficient and the voltage is stable. Operation without proper phase connection is strictly prohibited. The power supply line must be dedicated; temporary lines may not be used temporarily for power supply purposes.
4. During operation, if you notice abnormal noise from the DC cooling fan, severe motor heating, live casing, or tripped circuit breaker preventing the machine from starting, immediately stop the equipment and perform an inspection. To ensure safety, maintenance is not permitted while the DC fan is running. After repairs, conduct a trial run for about five minutes; only after confirming that no abnormalities are present may you resume normal operation of the machine.
5. The operating environment of the DC cooling fan should always be kept clean and tidy, and its exterior should be maintained in a clean condition. There should be no debris obstructing the air inlet or outlet, and dust and other foreign particles inside the fan and ducts should be removed regularly.

The pivot joint is fixed at the position of the motor stator base, ensuring an appropriate gap between the rotor and the stator. Of course, there must also be a clearance between the shaft core and the bearings to prevent the shaft core from becoming locked and thus unable to function. The stator structure of the motor—hereafter referred to as the "stator"—is designed in such a way that, once power is supplied, an induced magnetic field will be generated between the rotor and the stator. The control circuit then drives the electric fan motor into operation. Therefore, in the conventional fan motor design, as long as the fan rotor, the motor stator, and the drive circuit work together via the pivot joint between the shaft core and the bearings and through magnetic field induction, the motor can operate effectively.
