General guidelines for selecting cooling fans: When choosing a fan, it’s important to gather the following essential information:
1. The fan’s dimensions.
2. Whether the fan operates on DC or AC power.
3. The fan’s rated supply voltage—for example: AC 220V, 110V, 380V; DC 5V, 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V.
4. The fan’s bearing type—whether it uses ball bearings or oil-lubricated bearings.

Advantages of oil-lubricated bearings: They are resistant to external impacts, resulting in less damage during transportation; they are inexpensive (the price difference compared to ball bearings is significant). Disadvantages of oil-lubricated bearings: Dust in the air can be drawn into the motor’s center as the fan motor operates, mixing with the lubricating oil stored around the bearing to form sludge, which causes operational noise and may even lead to the bearing seizing up and stopping altogether. The inner diameter of the bearing is prone to easy wear, resulting in a shorter service life.
