Next, take a look at the fan blades: On the surface of the blades of an original, genuine cooling fan, you’ll notice a matte finish. In contrast, refurbished fans, having been exposed to prolonged friction with air, have lost these surface particles altogether, leaving their blades smooth and shiny—so much so that you can even see traces of wear and tear from handling.
Finally, there are the mounting holes: Since refurbished fans have all been used before, traces will remain on the mounting holes. If self-tapping screws were used, you’ll find screw threads inside the holes; if screws and nuts were used for fastening, you’ll see indentation marks from the nuts around the holes.

The pivot joint is fixed at the position of the motor stator base, ensuring an appropriate gap between the rotor and the stator. Of course, there must also be a clearance between the shaft core and the bearings to prevent the shaft core from becoming locked and thus unable to function.
