Blower It mainly consists of the following six components: motor, air filter, blower body, air chamber, base (which also serves as an oil tank), and oil-drip nozzle. The blower operates by means of an eccentrically mounted rotor within the cylinder; as the rotor rotates off-center, the volume between the blades in the rotor slots varies, thereby drawing in, compressing, and discharging air. During operation, the pressure differential generated by the blower automatically delivers lubricant to the oil-drip nozzle, which then drips it into the cylinder to reduce friction and noise. At the same time, this lubrication prevents backflow of gas within the cylinder. Such blowers are also known as vane-type blowers. The blower primarily handles clean air, clean gas, sulfur dioxide, and other inert gases as its working medium. Customized production is available upon request to handle other flammable, explosive, corrosive, toxic, or special gases as well.
Before starting the equipment, operators must familiarize themselves with these operating procedures and strictly follow them when running the blower.
1. Check the lubricant level in the oil tank; it should be between the upper and lower limits indicated by the dipstick.
2. Notify the substation to supply power to this unit.
3. Inspect the control cabinet on board; there should be no alarm indications. If an alarm is present, identify the cause and eliminate it.
4. Select the “Manual” mode. (Touch the “Manual” button with your finger.)
5. Check whether the relief valve is in the open position (the green light indicating the relief valve is open will be illuminated). Also, verify that the diffuser is set to its minimum opening (the green light indicating the diffuser is at its minimum opening will be illuminated).
6. After confirming through the above checks that the fan is ready to start, press the start button to initiate the blower’s startup procedure: ① The auxiliary oil pump will perform pre-lubrication for one minute (the green light indicating the auxiliary oil pump is running will illuminate). ② The blower can then begin operation (the green light indicating the blower is running will illuminate).
③ The relief valve closes slowly (the green light indicating the relief valve is open turns off, and two minutes later, the green light indicating the relief valve is closed turns on).
④ The auxiliary oil pump stops running (the green light indicating the auxiliary oil pump is running goes off, and the red light indicating it has stopped turns on). At this point, the blower has started up successfully and can be put into formal operation.
⑤ If the blower fails to start as scheduled after the start button is pressed, the red low-oil-pressure alarm light will illuminate one minute later, and the entire starting process will be halted. You must identify and resolve the cause before clearing the alarm and restarting the system.
1. After the fan is started, you can slowly adjust the diffuser opening according to production needs using the “Open” and “Close” buttons on the diffuser to ensure the required air volume.
2. During fan operation, it is essential to monitor the fan regularly, paying close attention to its current, oil temperature, oil pressure, inlet vacuum level, sound, temperature, vibration, and other relevant parameters. Keep accurate records on a regular basis. If any abnormalities are detected, promptly identify the cause and take corrective measures. Also, report the issue to the Production Department immediately. If necessary, emergency shutdown procedures may be implemented (use with caution).
