A DC fan is a type of fan that converts direct-current (DC) electrical energy into mechanical energy by using a DC motor to rotate the fan impeller after receiving DC power input. The most distinctive feature of a DC fan is that it is equipped with a DC motor. So, what exactly are the advantages of DC fans?
1. Low losses and high efficiency: Since the fan employs permanent-magnet excitation, it eliminates the losses caused by the excitation current in induction motors. Meanwhile, the permanent-magnet brushless DC motor operates in synchronous mode, thereby eliminating the frequency-related iron loss in the rotor core of induction motors. These two factors enable the permanent-magnet brushless DC motor to achieve significantly higher operating efficiency than induction motors, with even more pronounced efficiency improvements in small-capacity motors.
2. High Power Factor: Since the excitation magnetic field of a brushless DC motor does not require reactive current from the power grid, its power factor is significantly higher than that of an induction motor. A brushless DC motor can operate at a power factor of 1, which is particularly advantageous for low-power motors. Compared to induction motors, brushless motors not only exhibit higher efficiency and power factor at rated load but also demonstrate even greater advantages under light-load conditions.
3. Excellent speed regulation performance and simple control: Compared to the variable-frequency speed control of induction motors, the speed control of brushless DC motors is not only simpler but also delivers superior speed regulation performance.

Advantages and Applications of Oil-Bearing DC Fans
The pivot joint is fixed at the position of the motor stator base, ensuring an appropriate gap between the rotor and the stator. Of course, there must also be a clearance between the shaft core and the bearings to prevent the shaft core from becoming locked and thus unable to function. The stator structure of the motor—hereafter referred to as the "stator"—is designed in such a way that, once power is supplied, an induced magnetic field will be generated between the rotor and the stator. The control circuit then drives the electric fan motor into operation. Therefore, in the conventional fan motor design, as long as the fan rotor, the motor stator, and the drive circuit work together via the pivot joint between the shaft core and the bearings and through magnetic field induction, the motor can operate effectively.
