1. The oil supply to the bearing housing is excessive. Lubricating oil is supplied from both sides of the bearing housing. The bearing housing is equipped with oil rings, and the flow rate is controlled by an oil supply throttling valve. If the supply flow rate of the cooling fan is too high, the heat generated by the fan, combined with the rotor’s high-speed operation and the steady rise in oil temperature, will inevitably cause the maximum oil level limit to fall below the actual oil level in the bearing housing, leading to oil seal leakage. Furthermore, excessively high lubricating oil pressure can also result in shaft seal leakage.
2. If the sealing at pipeline connections is not tight enough, the most likely source of oil leakage in the bearing housing is the shaft seal. This can occur if the O-ring and skeleton oil seal on the cooling fan shaft are worn or aged, and if they were improperly assembled during maintenance.
3. If the hydraulic cylinder is leaking oil, it could be due to the hydraulic cylinder of the cooling fan not being tightly sealed or having excessive clearance. If the components are not properly assembled, oil leakage from the hydraulic cylinder may occur.
4. The quality of the lubricating oil does not meet the specifications. Certain timing tests were not conducted in accordance with the prescribed procedures. Particle sizes exceeding the limits can cause wear on rubber seals, while moisture present in clean oils can lead to rusting and damage of servo valves, resulting in oil leaks.
